After an extraordinary show at Carnegie Hall on Sept 27, 2015, The New York Concert Review has described Victor Paukstelis’s greatest strengths as ‘a natural, impeccable sense of rhythm, and a finely delineated dynamic range’ and his technical skills as ‘honest and solid, never disproportionate to the music at hand, but capable of generating real heat when called for’.
Having been characterized as an intellectual interpreter of music and an expressive artist, Victor’s classical repertoire always sounds innovative due to his spontaneity and artistic nature.
Victor has obtained diplomas from National M.K. Ciurlionis School of Art, B. Dvarionas Music School, and most importantly, his Bachelor, Master and Licentiate of Arts degree from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (Mariam Azizbekova’s class and Veronika Vitaite’s class).
Victor graduated from Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris in 2013 (Jean Marc Luisada’s class).
Victor is continually working on improving his skills by playing with legendary artists, such as Gary Graffman, Jirí Hlinka, Boris Petrusansky, Michail Voskresensky and Anthony di Bonaventura. Victor has also worked with Nora Ray and Tatjana Radovic.
